At Davidson, Bobby was a relief pitcher for their NCAA Division I Baseball Program. He still holds the Davidson College single-season record for games pitched (33 games, in 2007).
After graduation, Bobby achieved a childhood dream by playing professional baseball for the Schaumburg Flyers (Schaumburg, IL) in 2008, and the Edmonton Capitals (Edmonton, AB) in 2009.
During this time, Bobby gained experience as a personal trainer and fitness instructor in corporate fitness centers and small fitness studios. Frustrated with the cost-prohibitive fitness industry, Bobby came up with a business model geared towards clients being able to improve their fitness level in an affordable manner with a certified fitness professional, and in 2009, he formed FusionSouth.
Bobby is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the same governing body.
Bobby is currently pursuing a Master’s of Public Health at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with a dual emphasis in Public Health Leadership and Health Behavior/Health Education. The Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC is ranked as the #1 School of Public Health in the country. He is set to graduate in December, 2013.
Bobby is also currently pursuing a Master’s of Arts in Journalism at the University of Memphis, with a dual emphasis in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations. The College of Communication and Fine Arts at the University of Memphis has a top level Journalism and Communications program. He is set to graduate in December, 2012.

Bobby is also the Founder and Executive Director of NoFizz Charlotte, Inc. – a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Charlotte, NC, that seeks to end childhood obesity and empower children and youths to learn the importance of physical fitness, proper nutrition and hydration, and the need for a balanced and active lifestyle.
Bobby volunteers twice weekly at the Ada Jenkins Center, a non-profit community center in northern Mecklenburg County. Bobby holds health education outreach programs with after-school students at the Center, including a club he created known as Athlete’s Club, which teaches the importance of physical fitness and team-building activities such as sports to at-risk elementary school students.
Bobby also produces and hosts a weekly health radio show for Radio Exiles called The 7-Day Challenge. The show, which covers a variety of health topics, receives more than 6,000 downloads each month. Bobby is also the guest contributor for health and fitness for WBTV News, the CBS affiliate in Charlotte, NC.
Bobby specializes in a host of fitness and wellness services, including: personal training, group training, boot camp-style workouts, sport-specific strength and conditioning for competitive athletes of all levels, senior fitness classes, corporate wellness consulting, and flexibility/range of motion improvement.
