Our Community. Any Time.
FusionSouth is proud to donate $1.00 from every single personal training session we administer to the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson, NC.
In 2010 alone, we donated more than $1,500 to the Ada Jenkins Center, to be used in their after-school program that works with at-risk elementary school students in northern Mecklenburg and southern Iredell counties.
Along with our financial donations, we hold health and fitness clinics twice a week at the Center, for students in their after-school tutoring and mentoring program. Since the start of 2010, we have volunteered more than 500 hours teaching the importance of health, fitness, and nutrition to students at the Ada Jenkins Center.

Working Hard on the popular Healthy Snack Day!
The wellness clinics include the following topics: health, fitness, hygiene, basic nutrition, the importance of sleep, the importance of breakfast, time management, life skills, avoiding peer pressure, and study skills.
With our community service work and financial donation, our goal is two-fold: (a) partner with a high-profile, local non-profit organization unique to Lake Norman, and (b) make a long-lasting and genuine impact on the local community that extended beyond just a financial donation.
In America, childhood obesity is an epidemic. Childhood obesity rates have steadily increased from 5 percent in 1964, to about 13 percent in 1994, to 20 percent in 2008 — with the number still quickly rising. Combine that with the fact that today’s children engage in as many as six hours of sedentary activities each day, like watching television and playing video games – and we are in the midst of an epidemic.

Since the inception of our company in 2009, we have intended to make a strong and lasting contribution to help curb rising childhood obesity rates and sedentary lifestyles.
It is with great pleasure and satisfaction that we are able to donate a significant amount of both time and money to the Ada Jenkins Center’s after-school enrichment program, LEARNWorks, to help educate this amazing group of young people about proper nutrition, the importance of physical activity, and other general health and wellness measures.
When you purchase a personal training package from FusionSouth, you are directly helping the Ada Jenkins Center support local families and children – and for that, we are truly appreciative! Thank you!

For more than a decade in its current form, the Ada Jenkins Center has been on a mission to improve the quality of life for the residents of Lake Norman-area communities through the integrated delivery of health, education, and human services.
