Our Community. Any Time.
For the entire year of 2010 – January 1st through December 31st – FusionSouth is donating $1.00 from every single training session we administer to the Ada Jenkins Center. We are also extremely excited that our business partner, Peace by Piece Life Coaching, has agreed to match our donation pledge to the Center!
Also, FusionSouth and Peace by Piece Life Coaching are holding 24 free fitness and wellness clinics for children in the after-school program at the Ada Jenkins Center.

Working Hard on the popular Healthy Snack Day!
The wellness clinics include the following topics: health, fitness, hygiene, basic nutrition, the importance of sleep, the importance of breakfast, time management, life skills, avoiding peer pressure, and study skills.
When we began to think about a potential 2010 donation proposal, we wanted to do two things: (a) partner with a high-profile non-profit organization unique to Lake Norman, and (b) make a long-lasting and genuine impact on the local community that extended beyond just a financial donation.
In America, childhood obesity is an epidemic. Childhood obesity rates have steadily increased from 5 percent in 1964, to about 13 percent in 1994, to 20 percent in 2008 — with the number still quickly rising. Combine that with the fact that today’s children engage in as many as six hours of sedentary activities each day, like watching television and playing video games – and we are in the midst of an epidemic.

In 2010 and beyond, FusionSouth intends to make a strong and lasting contribution to help curb rising childhood obesity rates and sedentary lifestyles.
It is with great pleasure and satisfaction that we are able to donate a significant amount of both time and money to the Ada Jenkins Center’s after-school enrichment program, LEARNWorks, to help educate this amazing group of young people about proper nutrition, the importance of physical activity, and other general health and wellness measures.
When you purchase a personal training package from FusionSouth, you are directly helping the Ada Jenkins Center support local families and children – and for that, we are truly appreciative! Help us aim for our ambitious goal donation of $2,000 to the Ada Jenkins Center in 2010!

For more than a decade in its current form, the Ada Jenkins Center has been on a mission to improve the quality of life for the residents of Lake Norman-area communities through the integrated delivery of health, education, and human services.
